Chicago Part 1

Andrew and I couldn't pass up the chance to spend a day in Chicago, and take a little break from our road trip. It was nice being able to take some time to relax an unwind after three long days of driving.

It took Andrew a few tries to get a decent picture of me in front of the skyline because I kept moving around to dodge the massive dragonflies swarming around Lake Michigan.

We started our day off by going to the Shedd Aquarium, which was huge! We were amazed at the variety of fishes and animals the aquarium had.

We were especially amazed with how big some of the fishes and other animals were.

We found Flotsam & Jetsam from The Little Mermaid, creepy little eels!

We even had time to squeeze in a aquarium show that Rebekah sure loved! She really liked when the trainers brought the penguins and doggies out.

Waiting for the bus to take us to the Museum of Science & Industry.

We found a Baxter robot!

Daddy and Rebekah had a lot of fun playing with this Plasma ball and watching the lights move as they put their hands on it.

There was a really neat model cities of Chicago and Seattle comparing the skyscrapers, train systems and bridges.

The museum had a display showing how air pressure can hold objects in the air. Rebekah loved watching the balls fly up in the air and then trying to knock them down.

Rebekah was even brave enough to go into the Tornado machine with Daddy, and couldn't stop smiling as the wind blew in her face.
