Eastern Idaho State Fair

As the twins arrival gets closer, Andrew and I have been making sure to spend lots of quality time with Rebekah; whether it be going out to dinner, taking her out for a treat, reading lots of books or going to the park we want to make sure she knows how much we love and treasure her, especially since the twins are going to demand a lot of our time and energy when they're born. 

A couple weeks ago, we were able to take Rebekah to the Eastern Idaho State Fair and she had a blast! She loved walking around the petting zoo, playing in the little sand box full of corn kernels and driving the little toy cars around. We also had a lot of fun, and even had the chance to get some yummy Reed's Dairy ice cream.

 

Andrew tried his hand at a few of the fair games, and I never realized how rigged the fair was; the workers running the booths talk so fast so they lure you into playing their games, which are a complete ripoff and the prizes are nearly impossible to win. 

 Andrew tried playing this Thor Hammer's game, only to be made fun of by the sassy old man running the booth for not hitting the target hard enough. No, but really the old man was pretty sweet he gave Rebekah a little tiger for free and a inflatable baseball bat.

 

Sadly, Rebekah didn't keep her tiger that long. We started walking around the fair again and got pulled into playing a different game.  The guy running this booth wasn't as nice because he would only give Rebekah a prize if we traded her tiger in, which we did. And, it worked out too because now Rebekah has this adorable little doggie that she loves to pieces.

 

 As we were heading to the petting zoo, we found this cute little play area for toddlers. Rebekah loved playing with the corn, rocking horses and getting her picture taken with the cows. 

After Rebekah had some time to unwind and play we headed over to the petting zoo. She sure loved being able to play with all the different animals, especially the sheep. 

 

 

This adorable baby horse was less than a week old when we went to the fair. Rebekah was so excited to see the baby horsie.

We also saw some pretty gigantic milking cows at the fair, and some pretty impressive pumpkins. The pumpkin that won first place weighed 684 pounds, talk about a lot of pumpkin pie! 

The fair had a lot of really cool booths and displays set up in warehouses. We walked around a crafting display and I was in complete awe at the raw amount of talent people had, especially when it came to the cake decorating portion. 

 

We also found a set of creepy clowns as we were walking through the crafting display warehouse. I don't think I'd survive knowing one of these clown dolls was in my house, or even on my block for that matter.

After walking around for a little while longer we found another play area for Rebekah to stretch her legs. We let her play for a while because we were planning on meeting up with some friends, but that didn't work out so we got ice cream and Olive Garden instead.

Ready to POP, POP, POP!

When I went in for my checkup last week, I was 33 weeks along in my pregnancy and measuring at 38 weeks. It's no wonder I'm starting to feel like a massive beached whale! And, today when I went to the doctors, at 35 weeks, they measured me again and I'm measuring at 39 weeks, which means I'm almost measuring full-term!

 I had some pretty intense cramps last week, which really had me concerned that I was starting to have contractions, but the doctors checked and everything is still going well, which is good because I don't think I could handle being on bed rest. And, I have to go on bed rest as soon as I start having contractions; it's just going to be so hard not being able to pick up Rebekah or play with her. So, maybe I'll luck out, like I did with Rebekah and won't start having contractions until after my water breaks and I'm at the hospital. 

Here are some cute profiles of our little girls at 33 weeks, I can't believe how big they're getting! They both weigh 4.5 pounds and A is 32 weeks and 2 days and B is 31 weeks and 5 days. The doctors are a little concerned because B is gaining weight so slowly, so they're going to check her weight again on Friday and see what needs to happen next.

Knowing that the twins could come at any time really has me antsy; luckily we've found a mini van (Andrew is planning on going to Utah this weekend and picking it up) and we ordered a stroller and car seat, so now all we need is to figure out baby names. Which doesn't sound like it'd be too hard, but coming up with baby names is so difficult! We have a few first names that we like, but we're trying to figure out middle names before we announce our baby names. We just need to figure out names soon because I don't want to be in the hospital and not have names picked out still.

 Plus, I'm really nervous about the whole birthing process; Rebekah had an emergency c-section, and the whole labor/operation lasted maybe 4-5 hours. But I'm not sure how to handle giving birth to two babies, or what to expect during labor. Right now twin A is head down and twin B is breeched, so the doctors would have to do a C-section if my water broke, but I'm hoping I'm able to deliver the babies with a VBAC, even if I'm scared out of my mind. I was able to talk to my doctors a little about the birthing process and when to get an epidural and that helped calm some of my fears. I guess I'll just have to hope for the best and kept chanting "I think I can." 

 

 I can't believe I'm already 35 weeks along, I just need to make it to 37 weeks and then the twins can come. :)

32 Weeks!

I can't believe I'm already 32 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy has gone by so quickly compared to my pregnancy with Rebekah, not that her pregnancy was horrible or anything,  it is just that everything was new as I was experiencing it for the first time.

Although being pregnant with twins is a new experience, it hasn't really felt any different than a single pregnancy. Well, besides the fact that I feel like an enormous whale. I'm still pretty tiny for carrying two babies though, I honestly don't know how two babies are fitting in there. 

I'm just about to start going to the doctors twice a week, so they can more closely monitor the babies heartbeats, check for contractions and just make sure everything is running smoothly for mommy and babies.

Here's an updated  picture of Twin A & Twin B. Twin A is 30 weeks and 5 days, and weighs 3 pounds 10 ounces. While Twin B is 31 weeks old and weighs 4 pounds.

The past couple of days I've been an emotional wreck. We went to Texas Roadhouse on Saturday night and Just Fishing by Trace Adkins came on the radio and I started blubbering like a fool. This seriously has to be my favorite daddy/daughter song though.

Three magically, wonderful years!

I can't believe three years have already passed since I married my best friend for time and all eternity. It seems like just yesterday I was anxiously sitting across the sealing room in the Columbus Ohio Temple waiting to be sealed to Andrew for time and all eternity.

Earlier today, Andrew and I were talking about how accomplished we've been during our first three years of marriage; we've both graduated from Brigham Young University—Idaho, we traveled to many big cities (Columbus, Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, London, Salt Lake City, Boise, and probably a few more I can't think of), and we're expecting two more beautiful daughters this October. Life has been very good to us, and I'm so glad I've been able to share all of these wonderful memories with my love and best friend, Andrew.

We weren't able to do much celebrating today because Andrew is still working the 10pm-7am shift at Walmart, so he was sleeping during the day, but we did order in Chinese and enjoy each others' company playing board games. 

Besides, Amber babysat for us on Saturday so we could celebrate our anniversary a few days early with dinner and a movie.  We went to Olive Garden, which was absolutely delicious! 

After dinner we headed to Edward's Cinema to watch Pixels, which was hilarious! I was surprised with how clean the humor in this movie was, especially since most PG-13 movies are over the top with explicit content. I would definitely recommend this movie, and can't wait to get it on Blu-ray!

Of course I had to get my picture with the Peanuts Crew! It's been ages since I've watched a Charlie Brown movie, but I couldn't resist the urge to sit next to Snoopy.

Laramie, WY- Rexburg, ID

As we drove to Laramie, WY we decided we needed to stay somewhere a little more glamorous than the Travelodge, so we stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Our room was a bit more expensive, but it was nice and spacious, and it was our last night in a hotel. So it was okay to splurge a little, right?

We didn't go anywhere glamorous for dinner, not that Laramie was lacking in dining options, but it was Sunday evening so most of the restaurants were close. We went to Chili's though and it was delicious. I also snagged this little selfie to show off my baby bump at 30 weeks. I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone, and there are two babies in there! 

Rebekah was super cute and cuddly to her blanket and Horsie on the drive. I couldn't resist the urge to take like a thousand pictures because I mean everything she does is adorable, right?  

 

How precious are those blue eyes and that gorgeous little smile? She's going to be a little heart breaker for sure.

Our little angel napped for most of the drive, her teeth were coming through at the time, so I think that wore her out a bit. 

We made it to Jackson, WY! Hopefully we'll be able to actually visit Jackson more in depth while we're living on this side of the states.

She started to get restless so I gave her my empty Dr. Pepper bottle and she loved bonking it on her head. 

I love all the student housing stickers stuck to the Idaho state sign, I guess they all just really wanted to leave their mark.  

Andrew was very excited to see all the British Goodies he had waiting for him when we got home. I think he only has a pot noodle and a bag of crisp left. Guess Christmas shopping for him will be easy this year, I'll just restock his supplies.

As soon as we walked in the door Rebekah rushed to her rocking chair and started rocking. The cushion is missing because I had to wash it before we left.

Rebekah's idea of helping mommy unpack was pulling all of her toys into the suitcase and then climbing in and sitting down so she could play.
